Madjid Hamouda made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Merouane Khaled sent off a good shot on target. Zidan Djebbour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Foulsham's Samir Aziz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fayçal Raïs in the 7th minute of play. 7 minutes into the game, Anas Bruel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Foulsham's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Whittlesey the free kick. Samir Aziz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fayçal Raïs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Foulsham defense, Fayçal Raïs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Samir Aziz. The Foulsham fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Samir Aziz should have stopped the shot. With his leg Madjid Hamouda managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Foulsham's Merouane Khaled fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Whittlesey's Madjid Hamouda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raïd Zaghouane in the 16th minute of play. Raïd Zaghouane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Madjid Hamouda having to interfere. Lotfi Larfaoui hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 33 minutes Foulsham's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adel Halimi who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Adel Halimi almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Foulsham's Samir Aziz did a great save. Fayçal Raïs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samir Aziz having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Raïd Zaghouane got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th minute, Merouane Khaled hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The crowd rose to their feet as Fayçal Raïs kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Samir Aziz. That made the score 0-2 in the 53 minute of play. If Raïd Zaghouane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Whittlesey's goal looked a bit too open when Raïd Zaghouane came free, but Madjid Hamouda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Foulsham's Raïd Zaghouane in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Whittlesey's goalie prevented a goal. Sahrane Driouche's late challenge caught a Foulsham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sahrane Driouche helped the player get up and apologised. Sahrane Driouche kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Madjid Hamouda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Merouane Khaled, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Whittlesey supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Whittlesey would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
