Minehead AFC's Aziz Aribi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raïd Zaghouane in the 11th minute of play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Foulsham's goalkeeper Samir Aziz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Djillali Kourichi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Samir Aziz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Minehead AFC's Redouane Morceli in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Raïd Zaghouane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aziz Aribi having to interfere. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Merouane Khaled sped through Minehead AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Aziz Aribi. If Djillali Kourichi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes in the game, Redouane Morceli dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Redouane Morceli to strike the kick off in the second half. Djillali Kourichi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Samir Aziz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
