Samir Belhadj was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Brahim Hammani. 18 minutes into the match, FC Farnworth's goal looked a bit too open when Miloud Hamouda came free, but Larbi Benmabrouk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Miloud Hamouda sped through FC Farnworth's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Larbi Benmabrouk. 28 minutes into the game, Fathi Fillali was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dunton Bassett City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Farnworth the free kick. Dunton Bassett City's Chaba Mecherara got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The FC Farnworth players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Dunton Bassett City were winning 0-2.
