Carlos Galão was shown his second yellow card after 29 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After some careless play in the FC VALENTES defense, Edmundo Valies kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Evaristo Regalado. The FC VALENTES fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Evaristo Regalado should have stopped the shot. Marcelo Montinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Apalanga in the 40th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Custódio Pereira during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 86 played minutes Wembley got a freekick which was hit by Custódio Pereira. Nuno Dikaté struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Marcelo Montinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC VALENTES. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Nuno Dikaté took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Marcelo Montinho to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in FC VALENTES's zone, Edmundo Regalado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Regalado came out of the goal and Edmundo Regalado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC VALENTES played a much better game than Wembley and deserved their victory. The Wembley players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
