The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Afonso Areosa was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Bedford City getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Alda De Matos hit a great ball. The supporters of Bedford City booed when Wembley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wembley's Marcelo Montinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alda De Matos in the 80th minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Custódio Pereira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Henrique Apalanga, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alda De Matos in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Montinho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcelo Montinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Areosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
