Spectators: 6940 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1940, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Malheiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jorge Manarte read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alda Chivukuvuku in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Manarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alda Chivukuvuku received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Jorge Manarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alda Chivukuvuku had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Lourenço hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Bentworth's Jorge Manarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Malheiro in the 26th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Bentworth:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Royston:s goal. After having played for 34 minutes, Alda Chivukuvuku managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Royston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alda Chivukuvuku was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jorge Manarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Malheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. When Edgar Zamora came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Bentworth fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Zamora couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Royston's zone, Edgar Zamora stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Onas came out of the goal and Edgar Zamora tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuno Onas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgar Zamora's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Jorge Manarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Malheiro's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Malheiro was the one to do the kick off. Edgar Zamora received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Nuno Onas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Onas made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Edgar Zamora sent off a good shot on target. Alda Chivukuvuku fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Manarte having to interfere. Carlos Malheiro took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Manarte. Jorge Manarte dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Carlos Malheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Jorge Manarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Lourenço during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Royston's Carlos Malheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Bentworth's Miguel Lourenço dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. 75 minutes into the match, Carlos Malheiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Manarte. Bentworth's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Malheiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 83 minutes into the game, Sebastián Fontão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bentworth's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Royston the free kick. After a rather tough play, Bentworth's Sebastián Fontão got a free kick in the 84th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Royston's Maurício Montoia broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 90 minutes, Edgar Zamora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bentworth's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Zamora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Alda Chivukuvuku had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bentworth players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Royston.
