In the 2nd minute, Hernani Bastos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Jacinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Duarte in the 6th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Duarte in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrigo Jacinto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodrigo Jacinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Duarte in the 9th minute of the match. Vítor Galão might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Carlos Samakuva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vítor Galão ran back to his position shaking his head. Rodrigo Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Jacinto having to interfere. João Carlos Samakuva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flavio Nascimento in the 32nd minute. Glastonbury United's Paulo Curvelo got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodrigo Jacinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Curvelo in the 36th minute of the match. Vítor Galão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. João Carlos Samakuva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Emílio Camarinha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 minutes Glastonbury United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Paulo Godinho who took care of the corner kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vítor Galão was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Hammersmith's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Paulo Curvelo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Carlos Duarte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodrigo Jacinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Paulo Curvelo could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Rodrigo Jacinto however easily saved by the left post. In the 60th match minute, Hammersmith was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivó Serineu to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Glastonbury United getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Hernani Firmino hit a great ball. Paulo Curvelo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Rodrigo Jacinto made a huge save. 71 minutes into the match, Hammersmith's goalkeeper Rodrigo Jacinto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Curvelo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Duarte in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodrigo Jacinto saved Hammersmith from getting behind. 81 minutes into the match, Hammersmith's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Duarte came free, but Rodrigo Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marílio Almedia during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 83 minutes into the game, one of Hammersmith:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 85th minute there was a penalty for Glastonbury United. Emílio Ramos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rodrigo Jacinto. 0-2. Carlos Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Rodrigo Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glastonbury United played a much better game than Hammersmith and deserved their victory. The Hammersmith players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
