Vítor Galão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo Sá having to interfere. Rodrigo Jacinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Rebello in the 24th minute of the match. Edmundo Sá didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 27th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Rodrigo Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Carlos Rebello, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Rodrigo Jacinto came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Morpeth's Custódio Matta. But to his dismay, Custódio Matta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vítor Galão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edmundo Sá stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Flavio Nascimento's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. After 66 minutes, Ivó Serineu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hammersmith and the Morpeth players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hammersmith's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavio Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmundo Sá breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vítor Galão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Flavio Nascimento's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmundo Sá read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Vítor Galão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Flavio Akwa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Carlos Rebello in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodrigo Jacinto saved Hammersmith from getting behind. Edmundo Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Nascimento in the 94th minute of the match. Edmundo Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
