Spectators: 6959 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1959, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Heitor Areosa started the match with the kick off. Toni Cunha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Afonso Lima Clemente made a huge save. 6 minutes into the match, SCPILHA's goalkeeper Afonso Lima Clemente had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Pereira . Toni Duarte charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toni Duarte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th match minute, SCPILHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toni Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Afonso Lima Clemente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Custódio Malafaia in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SCPILHA's Balduíno Galão got a free kick in the 15th minute. Afonso Lima Clemente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Custódio Malafaia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toni Cunha 's late challenge caught a SCPILHA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toni Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Howden United getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Toni Cunha hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Custódio Malafaia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, SCPILHA's Afonso Lima Clemente got control of the ball when Custódio Malafaia tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Pedro Abelaira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 31st minute Custódio Malafaia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Lima Clemente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toni Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Howden United's Simão Regalado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Lourenço in the 37th minute of play. Afonso Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Lima Clemente having to interfere. When SCPILHA's Magno Lourenço in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Howden United's goalie prevented a goal. After 45 played minutes SCPILHA got a freekick which was hit by Toni Duarte. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Magno Lourenço received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Simão Regalado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Custódio Malafaia in the 57th minute of play forced SCPILHA's goalkeeper Afonso Lima Clemente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Savimbi kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, SCPILHA's goal looked a bit too open when Heitor Areosa came free, but Afonso Lima Clemente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Heitor Areosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Lima Clemente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SCPILHA's Balduíno Galão quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rolando Caetano, made in the 73rd minute of the game. SCPILHA's attentive Balduíno Galão managed to snatch the ball when Toni Cunha made a throw-in in the 74th minute of the game. In the 76th minute, Heitor Areosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afonso Lima Clemente was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After 78 played minutes Howden United got a freekick which was hit by Custódio Malafaia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Pereira in the 82nd minute of play forced SCPILHA's goalkeeper Afonso Lima Clemente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
