Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lopo Carvoeiro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience was convinced that Toni Caetano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hector Lourenço was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. 11 minutes into the match, York FC's Toni Caetano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hector Lourenço narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Balduíno Fontão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Sampaio having to make a save. Paulo Maurtios short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got David Sampaio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 25 minutes into the game, Cativa FC's Paulo Maurtio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. David Sampaio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. David Sampaio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Maurtio in the 29th minute. Lopo Carvoeiro took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hector Lourenço. Hector Lourenço dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Toni Caetano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Hector Lourenço tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Maurtio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the game, York FC's Lopo Carvoeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hector Lourenço made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3.

54 minutes into the match, Toni Caetano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hector Lourenço. Cativa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Toni Caetano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After 57 played minutes York FC got a freekick which was hit by Toni Caetano. In the 60th minute, Toni Caetano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Toni Caetano could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Hector Lourenço however easily saved by the left post. Lopo Carvoeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hector Lourenço. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lopo Carvoeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Edmundo Da Costa's late challenge caught a York FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmundo Da Costa helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of York FC booed when Cativa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Da Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. York FC's Quim Dikaté couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 87th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cativa FC. With his leg Hector Lourenço managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when York FC's Toni Caetano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lopo Carvoeiro struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Hector Lourenço didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for York FC. The Cativa FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching York FC's performance. The match ended with a win for York FC.
