Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Rodrigo Clérigo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Inter FC's Flavio Montoia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pompílio Quilempan in the 5th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Pompílio Quilempan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flavio Montoia came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Sheringham's Edmundo Tenória. But to his dismay, Edmundo Tenória quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 17 minutes into the match, Inter FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pompílio Quilempan came free, but Flavio Montoia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Maurtio had great luck who in the 18thth minute grab hold of the ball when Rodrigo Clérigo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. A collision led to Inter FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Zé Tenória hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Pompílio Quilempan put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Flavio Montoia. Inter FC's Paulo Areosa got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodrigo Clérigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henrique Odemira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Flavio Montoia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Sheringham's Flavio Montoia threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fábio Quilempan , which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Tenória in the 66th minute of play forced Sheringham's goalkeeper Luís Maurtio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
