Rolando Carvoeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Magno Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viveque Dikaté charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Viveque Dikaté the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Magno Simões took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neide Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Polido didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henrique Bastos went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Hipólito Fonseca took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Polido. Worcester AF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Paulo Dikaté fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magno Simões having to interfere. In the 31st minute Neide Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magno Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Worcester AF booed when Hurst Green was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saúl Tremura didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Hurst Green's Nuno Carvoeiro got a free kick in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Paulo Dikaté managed to get in a good position for a shot. Worcester AF's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Dikaté was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Magno Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivó Akwa made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Worcester AF's Emílio Vasques ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Magno Simões. Magno Simões yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. If Rolando Carvoeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Hurst Green's Magno Simões got control of the ball when Rolando Carvoeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Neide Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Polido came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Hurst Green's Saúl Tremura. But to his dismay, Saúl Tremura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Paulo Dikaté recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Worcester AF! The referee gave Hurst Green a penalty, 71 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hipólito Fonseca, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Worcester AF's Pedro Polido. 4-3. 74 minutes into the match, Worcester AF's goal looked a bit too open when Ivó Akwa came free, but Pedro Polido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Worcester AF's Neide Nascimento got a free kick in the 75th minute. 79 minutes in the game Pompílio Onas did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Nuno Chafes. In the 88th minute, Hortêncio Dos Santos made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Polido. Worcester AF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-3. The supporters of Worcester AF booed when Hurst Green was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saúl Tremura didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Rolando Carvoeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 96 minutes, Rolando Carvoeiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Worcester AF and the Hurst Green players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hurst Green's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
