Scawsby's Edmundo De Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Meneses in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Regalado in the 18th minute of play forced Rayleigh City's goalkeeper Custódio Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Custódio Jacinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Regalado in the 23rd minute of the match. Evaristo Dikaté sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Rayleigh City getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Paulo Zamora hit a great ball. If Miguel Lima Clemente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Meneses sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evaristo Dikaté to make the kick off. Evaristo Regalado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Custódio Jacinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 minutes of play, Scawsby's Evaristo Regalado made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Custódio Jacinto was left in no man's land by his defense there! 74 minutes into the match, Rayleigh City's Afonso Meneses sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmundo De Matos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th minute of the game, Scawsby got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. 84 minutes into the game, Evaristo Regalado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Custódio Jacinto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Evaristo Dikaté took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Custódio Jacinto to make any attempt to save it. Evaristo Regalado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Custódio Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmundo De Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Meneses, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Rayleigh City supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Scawsby's performance. The match ended with a win for Scawsby.
