CF Valentes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rayleigh City the free kick. In the 3rd minute, Ivó Pereira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Evaristo Zamora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rayleigh City's Custódio Jacinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Rayleigh City from getting a goal against them. The supporters of CF Valentes booed when Rayleigh City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Matta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evaristo Zamora struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Custódio Jacinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CF Valentes. If Vítor Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Custódio Jacinto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evaristo Zamora's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Evaristo Zamora in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Custódio Jacinto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 23 played minutes Rayleigh City got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Matta. After recieving a nice pass, CF Valentes's Marcelo Sá tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Evaristo Zamora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Custódio Jacinto having to interfere. When Evaristo Matta fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rayleigh City's protests and gave Evaristo Matta a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Rayleigh City defense, Vítor Sá kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Custódio Jacinto. The Rayleigh City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Custódio Jacinto should have stopped the shot. The supporters of CF Valentes booed when Rayleigh City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Montoia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Custódio Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Zamora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, CF Valentes's Custódio Jacinto threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Evaristo Zamora, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Vítor Sá came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the CF Valentes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Sá couldn't finish the play. In the 39th minute, Evaristo Zamora reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Custódio Jacinto. The goal made the score 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vítor Sá got free with Custódio Jacinto in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The audience was convinced that Evaristo Zamora's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Custódio Jacinto was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Evaristo Zamora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Afonso Ezequiel Niz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rayleigh City's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Ezequiel Niz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alda Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Custódio Jacinto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evaristo Zamora's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Custódio Jacinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Zamora in the 81st minute of play. Evaristo Zamora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Custódio Jacinto having to interfere. Vítor Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 88 minutes into the match, CF Valentes's Marcelo Sá broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 92 minutes, Vítor Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CF Valentes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vítor Sá was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the game, CF Valentes's Evaristo Zamora nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Custódio Jacinto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CF Valentes fully deserved thier win.
