Flavio Montoia was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A hard shot by Ivó Bastos from long distance, 9 minutes into the match, got Edmundo De Matos's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Scawsby's Edmundo De Matos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Scawsby from getting a goal against them. In the 16th minute, Viveque Nascimento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavio Montoia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The Scawsby fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Scawsby's Evaristo Regalado looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 27 minutes into the match, Inter FC's Rodrigo Clérigo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmundo De Matos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Rodrigo Clérigo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Inter FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Diamantino Duarte hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Dikaté in the 43rd minute of play forced Inter FC's goalkeeper Flavio Montoia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Montoia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Dikaté in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodrigo Clérigo was the one to do the kick off. Rui Teive hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Flavio Montoia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Dikaté in the 58th minute of the match. Flavio Montoia made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Evaristo Regalado sent off a good shot on target. Flavio Montoia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evaristo Regalado in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evaristo Dikaté in the 69th minute of play forced Inter FC's goalkeeper Flavio Montoia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Inter FC's zone, Evaristo Dikaté stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Montoia came out of the goal and Evaristo Dikaté tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Evaristo Dikaté had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavio Montoia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Evaristo Dikaté showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 92 minute of play. Scawsby's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
