The referee showed Jorge Lima Clemente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Macedo FC's zone, Toni Ericeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambrósio Malheiro came out of the goal and Toni Ericeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 5th minute, Pedro Fontão fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After having played for 7 minutes, Pedro Fontão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malvern's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Fontão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Malvern's Pedro Fontão slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ambrósio Malheiro. That made the score 1-0 after 10 minutes of play. 15 minutes into the game, Pedro Fontão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ambrósio Malheiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Toni Ericeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Ambrósio Malheiro made a huge save. Toni Ericeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ambrósio Malheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Fontão in the 24th minute of the match. Ambrósio Malheiro made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Toni Ericeira sent off a good shot on target. Malvern's Pedro Fontão got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Toni Ericeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 32 minutes, Toni Ericeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malvern's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toni Ericeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Fontão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ambrósio Malheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Fontão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambrósio Malheiro having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Fontão to strike the kick off in the second half. Ambrósio Malheiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lopo Godinho's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Pedro Fontão notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Macedo FC's Ambrósio Malheiro. Ambrósio Malheiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ambrósio Malheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Ericeira in the 58th minute of the match. Pedro Fontão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Pegacho in the 63rd minute of play forced Macedo FC's goalkeeper Ambrósio Malheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jorge Lima Clemente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, Malvern's Toni Ericeira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ambrósio Malheiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 80th minute, Pedro Fontão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ambrósio Malheiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Macedo FC's Ambrósio Malheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toni Ericeira in the 89th minute of play. Ambrósio Malheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toni Ericeira , who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 95th minute Pedro Fontão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambrósio Malheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Malvern had played much better football throughout.
