Paulo Varanda in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luís Duarte, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Rogério Amado fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barritos Fc's protests and gave Rogério Amado a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Barritos Fc's Rogério Amado got a free kick in the 16th minute. Barritos Fc's Rui Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toni Caetano in the 21st minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Paulo Teive had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Duarte. Eastfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Teive was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. A collision led to Eastfield getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Luís Duarte was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Albertino Gonçalves. When Paulo Varanda came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Barritos Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Varanda couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Barritos Fc booed when Eastfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alão Lando didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Varanda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Luís Duarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Teive sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Toni Caetano to strike the kick off in the second half. Luís Duarte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Teive's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Rui Guedes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emílio Fontão in the 94th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Barritos Fc fully deserved thier win.
