Spectators: 6946 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1946, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luís Areosa started the match with the kick off. Nito Lourenço might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Akwa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nito Lourenço ran back to his position shaking his head. Miguel Lima Clemente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tozé Varanda, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute, Nito Lourenço fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. David Akwa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nito Lourenço's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. After a rather tough play, Sagrada Esperança's Miguel Malafaia got a free kick in the 15th minute. David Akwa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nito Lourenço in the 16th minute of play. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Luís Areosa sped through Folkestone's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Miguel Lima Clemente. If Tozé Varanda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Folkestone's Miguel Lima Clemente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Areosa in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute of the match Teodoro Areosa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miguel Lima Clemente skillfully saved the ball. Tozé Varanda scored 0-2 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Miguel Lima Clemente, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luís Da Costa hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Miguel Lima Clemente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tozé Varanda, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nito Lourenço was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Luís Areosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Lima Clemente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Gonçalves hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. When Tozé Varanda came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Sagrada Esperança fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tozé Varanda couldn't finish the play. David Akwa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Amado in the 66th minute of the match. Miguel Malafaia hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Luís Da Costa, 77 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Sagrada Esperança getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Teodoro Areosa hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Tozé Varanda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fábio Amado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 93 minutes, Tozé Varanda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sagrada Esperança's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tozé Varanda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tozé Varanda succeeded in the game's 96th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. Sagrada Esperança's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
