An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Pedrosa in the 24th minute of play forced Pewsey's goalkeeper Paulo Caneças to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Pedrosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Caneças having to interfere. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hedge End FC's goalkeeper Hélio Nascimento, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luís Jacinto was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 30th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Hedge End FC's Saúl Rochedo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Pewsey. Paulo Caneças showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Nascimento in the 46th minute of the match. Zé Pedrosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Caneças read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 49th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zé Pedrosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Hedge End FC's Hector Sá dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Hedge End FC's Zé Pedrosa got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cláudio Nascimento blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo Caneças having to make a save. With his leg Paulo Caneças managed to avoid a goal in the 61stth minute, when Hedge End FC's Cláudio Nascimento fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Malheiro in the 66th minute of play forced Pewsey's goalkeeper Paulo Caneças to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute, Zé Pedrosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hedge End FC's Cláudio Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Caneças showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Rebello, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 89th minute Zé Pedrosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Caneças saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Pewsey's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedrosa came free, but Paulo Caneças reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Caneças showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Pedrosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Zé Pedrosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hedge End FC played a much better game than Pewsey and deserved their victory. The Pewsey players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
