Spectators: 6944 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1944, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Luís Areosa made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of Sagrada Esperança booed when Braunton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Maurito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tozé Varanda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 19 minutes into the match, Braunton's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Areosa came free, but Carlos Serineu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Edmundo Chafes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Areosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Serineu having to interfere. Tozé Varanda took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Serineu. Carlos Serineu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Carlos Serineu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Areosa in the 36th minute of play. In the 38thth minute of the game Luís Areosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Braunton's Carlos Serineu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Sagrada Esperança's David Akwa got control of the ball when Edmundo Chafes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Serineu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Areosa went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Sagrada Esperança's Nuno Zamora got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 48th minute, Edmundo Chafes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teta Pedrosa to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Braunton defense, Tozé Varanda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Serineu. The Braunton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Serineu should have stopped the shot. David Akwa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teta Pedrosa in the 70th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Areosa in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Serineu saved Braunton from getting behind. Cláudio Fontão hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Tozé Varandas short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Carlos Serineu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 86th minute, Tozé Varanda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Serineu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. 92 minutes into the match, Sagrada Esperança's Nuno Zamora sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Serineu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Braunton's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Areosa came free, but Carlos Serineu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodrigo Malafaia during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th minute, Rodrigo Malafaia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Sagrada Esperança could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Braunton throughout the match.
