Avelino Caneças's late challenge caught a Olimpianos United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Avelino Caneças helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Olimpianos United booed when Brierley Hill Uqewnited was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Avelino Caneças didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hélio Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Olimpianos United's Pompílio Caneças slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tiago Ericeira. That made the score 2-1 after 27 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Avelino Caneças managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brierley Hill Uqewnited's supporters rose to their feet, but Avelino Caneças was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albertino Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Avelino Caneças fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Correia having to interfere. In the 39th minute Evaristo Manarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Ericeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Evaristo Manarte made a kick off. Brierley Hill Uqewnited's Viveque Regalado got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Paulo Pepetela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Luís Correia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Avelino Caneças sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olimpianos United's Luís Correia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Olimpianos United from getting a goal against them. After 66 minutes, Hélio Duarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brierley Hill Uqewnited and the Olimpianos United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Brierley Hill Uqewnited's Hélio Duarte got a free kick in the 66th minute. Luís Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avelino Caneças, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the game, Quim Quilempan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Tiago Ericeira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Viveque Regalado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evaristo Manarte kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. During the 86th minute of the match Avelino Caneças completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Avelino Caneças a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Brierley Hill Uqewnited getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Avelino Caneças hit a great ball. Brierley Hill Uqewnited's Tiago Ericeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertino Almeida in the 90th minute of play. Luís Correia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Areosa in the 94th minute. Tiago Ericeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Manarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiago Ericeira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evaristo Manarte's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, Olimpianos United could leave the field as winners, despite Brierley Hill Uqewnited having more of the ball for most of the match.
