Marvel FC's Eduardo Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ailton Tremura in the 13th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Marvel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ailton Tremura came free, but Eduardo Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Carlos Carvoeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ailton Tremura scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Nascimento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ailton Tremura in the 40th minute of play forced Marvel FC's goalkeeper Eduardo Nascimento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marvel FC's Miguel Abelaira got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Magno Samakuva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Alão Felício tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Marvel FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio Zamora came free, but Eduardo Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Miguel Abelaira was the one to do the kick off. When Marílio Mantorras fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Madrid's protests and gave Marílio Mantorras a yellow card for diving instead. Marílio Mantorras hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute Magno Samakuva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alão Felício saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Carvoeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eduardo Nascimento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emílio Zamora in the 64th minute. Magno Samakuva came free in the 71st minute and tried to tip the ball over Alão Felício, but to the joy of Real Madrid's supporters the ball went over. Marílio Mantorras kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Emílio Zamora in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eduardo Nascimento, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Carlos Carvoeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marvel FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Carvoeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alão Felício breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Magno Samakuva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 84 minutes, Miguel Abelaira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marvel FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Miguel Abelaira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Although Marvel FC had been in control for most of the match, Real Madrid still came away with the win.
