Rodrigo Moco's late challenge caught a BASE ANGOLANA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Cruz in the 14th minute of play. Paulo Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrósio Zamora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Tiago Bouça notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Henley on Thames's Paulo Guedes. Paulo Guedes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Henley on Thames getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Custódio Ramos hit a great ball. Paulo Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Bouça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Custódio Bouça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cláudio Carvoeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Henley on Thames booed when BASE ANGOLANA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Jacaré didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teta Amado acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 33rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cláudio Carvoeiro. Cláudio Carvoeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teta Amado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Henley on Thames's Custódio Ramos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teta Amado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 43rd match minute, Henley on Thames was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Carvoeiro to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the match, BASE ANGOLANA's goal looked a bit too open when Custódio Ramos came free, but Teta Amado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Heitor Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th match minute, Henley on Thames was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Carvoeiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Vítor Abelaira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Vítor Dikaté in the 69th minute really tested Paulo Guedes's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 70 minutes into the match, Henley on Thames's goal looked a bit too open when Custódio Bouça came free, but Paulo Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiago Bouça scored 1-3 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Guedes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cláudio Carvoeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute Custódio Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teta Amado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Moco got his second yellow card in the match during the 91st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 92nd match minute, Henley on Thames was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Moco to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Hélio Fontão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Henley on Thames's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélio Fontão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teta Amado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
