Viveque Matta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emílio Almeida's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. In the 8th minute, Neide Fernandes Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Skelmersdale's David Samakuva got a free kick in the 11th minute. Hipólito Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Vila-Santa in the 15th minute of the match. Miguel Vila-Santa kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Miguel Vila-Santa scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hipólito Duarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Altonsdf defense, Heitor Galão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hipólito Duarte. The Altonsdf fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hipólito Duarte should have stopped the shot. In the 37th minute, Heitor Galão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Skelmersdale booed when Altonsdf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastián Chivukuvuku didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastián Da Costa's late challenge caught a Skelmersdale's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastián Da Costa helped the player get up and apologised. When Manuel Vila-Santa came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Altonsdf fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Vila-Santa couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Heitor Galão made the kick off in the second half. Sebastián Da Costa made in the 53rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ambrósio Barreiros however managed to control. Manuel Vila-Santa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 58th match minute, Skelmersdale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Montoia to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Vila-Santa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viveque Matta having to interfere. Heitor Galão received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hipólito Duarte came out and tried to block the shot, but Heitor Galão slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 67th minute. In the 70th match minute, Skelmersdale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neide Da Costa to maneuver through the defense. Manuel Vila-Santa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Viveque Matta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viveque Matta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Viveque Matta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Vila-Santa in the 92nd minute of play. Although Altonsdf had been in control for most of the match, Skelmersdale still came away with the win.
