The audience thought a goal was coming when Rui Flores got free with Rui Rebello in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Wymondhaq booed when Weaverham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pôncio Regalado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fábio Preto's late challenge caught a Wymondhaq's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Pedro Amado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emílio Serineu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The wind increased when Rodrigo Teive made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Wymondhaq's goalkeeper Rui Rebello, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 95 minutes of play, Weaverham's Rui Flores made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rui Rebello was left in no man's land by his defense there! Weaverham walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
