Bedale's Edgar Clérigo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Clérigo in the 78th minute of play forced Prudhoe's goalkeeper Simão Bastos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Prudhoe's zone, Rodrigo Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Bastos came out of the goal and Rodrigo Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the match, Bedale's Rodrigo Ramos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simão Bastos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fábio Malheiro got free with Toni Boal in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Toni Boal made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Fábio Malheiro sent off a good shot on target. Rodrigo Ramos hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match.
