In the 14thth minute of the game Manuel Dos Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catford City's Maurício Malafaia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodoro Lourenço during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th minute, Teodoro Lourenço ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afonso Almedia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

Maurício Malafaia came out of the goal and Emílio Firmino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
