The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcelo Boniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Apalanga, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. Ferryton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Whittlesey FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ferryton's Hernani Samakuva got a free kick in the 9th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Custódio Montinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Whittlesey FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Custódio Montinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Boniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute, Ailton Curvelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Boniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Custódio Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Ferryton's Marcelo Boniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Apalanga in the 16th minute of play. The Ferryton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Boniel should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Fernandes Braga in the 41st minute of play forced Ferryton's goalkeeper Marcelo Boniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hector Dikaté showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Wickander in the 44th minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Whittlesey FC's goalkeeper Hector Dikaté had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felíx Regalado. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rolando Fernandes Braga was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Ferryton getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Diamantino Flores hit a great ball. Marcelo Boniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Apalanga in the 52nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lopo Onas in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hector Dikaté prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 62 minutes into the match, Lopo Onas notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Whittlesey FC's Hector Dikaté. Hector Dikaté was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Diamantino Flores hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Ferryton's Marcelo Boniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Ferryton from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute Custódio Montinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Boniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, one of Ferryton:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ferryton's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
