After 12 minutes of play, Ferryton's Viktor Wickander made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maurício Malafaia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maurício Malafaia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felíx Regalado in the 15th minute of the match. Lopo Onas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maurício Malafaia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felíx Regalado's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felíx Regalado in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maurício Malafaia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Catford City booed when Ferryton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Boal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maurício Malafaia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felíx Regalado in the 27th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felíx Regalado in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurício Malafaia saved Catford City from getting behind. In the 38thth minute of the game Felíx Regalado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catford City's Maurício Malafaia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. But to his dismay, Felíx Regalado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After having played for 47 minutes, Felíx Regalado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ferryton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felíx Regalado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alda Bouça was the one to do the kick off. Teodoro Lourenço received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Marcelo Boniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Catford City's Delmano Nascimento got a free kick in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Ferryton's Viktor Wickander sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maurício Malafaia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maurício Malafaia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Diamantino Flores managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferryton's supporters rose to their feet, but Diamantino Flores was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurício Malafaia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Catford City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Felíx Regalado scored to the left of an out of position Maurício Malafaia, making the score, 0-5. Lopo Onas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Felíx Regalado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maurício Malafaia was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. After 97 played minutes, Ferryton's Diamantino Flores shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maurício Malafaia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ferryton reached it.
