If Sebastián Boal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Almedia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hélio Moco in the 18th minute of the match. Afonso Almedia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélio Moco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vítor Malafaia was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 24 minutes into the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hortêncio Dos Santos made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Emílio Firmino sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute Toni Quilempan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Almedia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hélio Moco scored 1-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afonso Almedia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hortêncio Dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Dos Santos in the 70th minute of the match. FC VALENTE's Hortêncio Dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernani Ezequiel Niz in the 88th minute of play. After some careless play in the FC VALENTE defense, Jorge Quilempan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hortêncio Dos Santos. The FC VALENTE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hortêncio Dos Santos should have stopped the shot. Futebol Clube do Porto's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
