After having played for 14 minutes, Rolando Fernandes Braga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whittlesey FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Fernandes Braga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17thth minute of the game Rolando Fernandes Braga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Futebol Clube do Porto's Afonso Almedia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Afonso Almedia was a little too slow when Rolando Fernandes Braga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-0. Carlos Lando hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Hector Dikaté made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emílio Firmino in the 24th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Rolando Fernandes Braga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afonso Almedia was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. If Custódio Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Rolando Fernandes Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Almedia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Futebol Clube do Porto getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Paulo Montinho hit a great ball. Afonso Almedia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Fernandes Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92ndth minute of the game Rolando Fernandes Braga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Futebol Clube do Porto's Afonso Almedia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There was no doubt that Whittlesey FC were the better team. Whittlesey FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
