In the 4th minute of the game Adam Pyczkowski made a throw-in which Claus Wüllbier played forward. Sporting Angola's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Osasun Palomino scored to the left of an out of position Freddy Sein, making the score, 1-0. Osasun Palomino came free with the goalkeeper in the 10th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Freddy Sein could save by the left post. Osasun Palomino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The throw-in from Magno Bastos in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sporting Angola's Ciro Coscia. In the 24th minute of the match Petro Atlético got a corner. Sporting Angola's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Osasun Palomino ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ubaldo Goyanes took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Gavin. Daniel Gavin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Freddy Sein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osasun Palomino in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to Petro Atlético getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Krystian Mecit hit a great ball. Freddy Sein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Szczepan Joks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the game, Osasun Palomino lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Freddy Sein. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Osasun Palomino made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Sporting Angola's goal looked a bit too open when Osasun Palomino came free, but Freddy Sein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osasun Palomino in the 54th minute of play forced Sporting Angola's goalkeeper Freddy Sein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Freddy Sein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Szczepan Joks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Petro Atlético booed when Sporting Angola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Goyanes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 played minutes Petro Atlético got a freekick which was hit by Magno Bastos. With a little luck, Petro Atlético's Daniel Gavin got control of the ball when Ubaldo Goyanes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Ubaldo Goyanes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Daniel Gavin. That made the score 2-2 in the 74 minute of play. In the 80thth minute of the game Tomas Gartzen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Petro Atlético's Daniel Gavin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Tomas Gartzen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Daniel Gavin. Tomas Gartzen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. In the 93rd minute Tomas Gartzen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Gavin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Sporting Angola players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
