The Recreativo FC® fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nito Areosa should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Tadeu Flores managed to get in a good position for a shot. Desert Fury's supporters rose to their feet, but Tadeu Flores was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nito Areosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nito Areosa made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Tadeu Flores sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Afonso Amado took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Nito Areosa to make any attempt to save it. 20 minutes into the match, Pedro Maurito notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Recreativo FC®'s Nito Areosa. Nito Areosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Amado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Tadeu Flores kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nito Areosa. That made the score 7-0 in the 46 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

Desert Fury's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
