Lucas Ngake was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 2nd minute. FC Chelsea ZA's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Akil Sono charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Akil Sono the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pine Lands AFC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Akil Sono hit a great ball. Alfred Madiya made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Gordon Mkhwanazi sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Ngake in the 6th minute of play forced Pine Lands AFC's goalkeeper Alfred Madiya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, FC Chelsea ZA's Gordon Mkhwanazi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in FC Chelsea ZA's zone, Akil Sono stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Mbheki came out of the goal and Akil Sono tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Pine Lands AFC's Alfred Madiya got control of the ball when Gordon Mkhwanazi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pine Lands AFC's zone, Lucas Ngake stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfred Madiya came out of the goal and Lucas Ngake tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gordon Mkhwanazi got free with Alfred Madiya in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Akil Sono kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, one of Pine Lands AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pine Lands AFC. The goalkeeper, Alfred Madiya, was totally fooled by FC Chelsea ZA's David Mothobi, who 31 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Madolo Maduna in the 34th minute of play forced Pine Lands AFC's goalkeeper Alfred Madiya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucas Ngake struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Alfred Madiya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Chelsea ZA. Pine Lands AFC's Alfred Madiya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Ngake in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Akil Sono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 49th minute FC Chelsea ZA were awarded a corner. David Mothobi went to the cornerflag to take it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucas Ngake stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hanile Setlaba kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. If Lucas Ngake had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Ngake struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Alfred Madiya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Chelsea ZA. 64 minutes into the match, Pine Lands AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Ngake came free, but Alfred Madiya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The attack was good, but when Lucas Ngake in the 70th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Gordon Mkhwanazi scored 5-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfred Madiya, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Ngake in the 76th minute of play forced Pine Lands AFC's goalkeeper Alfred Madiya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Chelsea ZA's Gordon Mkhwanazi got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfred Madiya didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Madolo Maduna went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Alfred Madiya came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Chelsea ZA's Lucas Ngake. But to his dismay, Lucas Ngake quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. Alex Zwane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 98 minutes, Lucas Ngake managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Chelsea ZA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Ngake was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the FC Chelsea ZA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
