Soloman Collins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Lucky Dinha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rabelani Liau charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rabelani Liau the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Nxotshana's Rabelani Liau got a free kick in the 14th minute. Soloman Collins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Boyisana Fredericks got free with Silas Mufumadi in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute, Nxotshana's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Boyisana Fredericks fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Boyisana Fredericks came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Zwartruggens fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boyisana Fredericks couldn't finish the play. Lucky Dinha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Soloman Collins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, Zwartruggens's goal looked a bit too open when Soloman Collins came free, but Lucky Dinha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Soloman Collins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Soloman Collins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Nxotshana's goal looked a bit too open when Gordon Thabang came free, but Silas Mufumadi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michael Ntsume sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Nxotshana's Mpho Thompson got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 59th match minute, Nxotshana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mpho Thompson to maneuver through the defense. Michael Khumalos short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Lucky Dinha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Soloman Collins was extremely unlucky when he, in the 73rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Silas Mufumadi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Ntsume in the 77th minute of the match. Zwartruggens's Lucky Dinha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Zwartruggens from getting a goal against them. Lucky Dinha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Soloman Collins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silas Mufumadi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Ntsume, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The supporters of Zwartruggens booed when Nxotshana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mpenza Mabalane didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boyisana Fredericks struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Silas Mufumadi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zwartruggens. If Michael Ntsume had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zwartruggens's Boyisana Fredericks got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nxotshana players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Zwartruggens.
