Fieldmoor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Promise Mhlongo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Lindo Thompson made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Elias Ntsume sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Meshack Sephiri in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lindo Thompson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Sizwe Nunes made the kick off in the second half. Fieldmoor's Lindo Thompson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Meshack Sephiri in the 51st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Neilersdrif's Siyabonge Sibeko got a free kick in the 54th minute. Lindo Thompson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Meshack Sephiri in the 60th minute of play. Lesego Komani's late challenge caught a Neilersdrif's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 88thth minute of the game Promise Mhlongo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fieldmoor's Lindo Thompson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 96 minutes, Promise Mhlongo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Neilersdrif's supporters crossed their fingers, but Promise Mhlongo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
