Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Silas Mumede made the kick off which started today's match. Basil Mfeke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kingston Kubheka, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zolile FC's goalkeeper Basil Mfeke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Kenmore's Dean Nhlapo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silas Mumede in the 8th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Kenmore's zone, Steve Kubheka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dean Nhlapo came out of the goal and Steve Kubheka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute, Takalani Fortuin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dean Nhlapo was a little too slow when Silas Mumede got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 34th minute Kingston Kubheka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basil Mfeke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steve Kubheka's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Dean Nhlapo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 37th match minute, FC Kenmore was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lindo Thebile to maneuver through the defense. Steve Kubheka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Dean Nhlapo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dean Nhlapo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silas Mumede in the 46th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kingston Kubheka stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Kenmore's Boyisana Okpara got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kingston Kubheka was extremely unlucky when he, in the 54th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Kingston Kubheka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Steve Kubheka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Nhlapo having to interfere. After 67 played minutes Zolile FC got a freekick which was hit by Lungie Thwala. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silas Mumede in the 69th minute of play forced FC Kenmore's goalkeeper Dean Nhlapo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Musa Mandela hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Basil Mfeke was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Boyisana Okpara showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 72 minute of play. Patrice Mkhonza hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. If Boyisana Okpara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC Kenmore booed when Zolile FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andre Mkhonza didn't get a good kick on the ball.
