FC Diphini's Noxolo Mothobi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steve Kubheka in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Silas Mumede got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Steve Kubheka had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Noxolo Mothobi. FC Diphini's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Steve Kubheka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Silas Mumede scored 0-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Noxolo Mothobi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Silas Mumede managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zolile FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silas Mumede was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noxolo Mothobi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 67 played minutes FC Diphini got a freekick which was hit by Allan Magakula. 70 minutes into the match, FC Diphini's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Mumede came free, but Noxolo Mothobi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zolile FC's Basil Mfeke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornell Mangope in the 89th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silas Mumede during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Diphini booed when Zolile FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silas Mumede didn't get a good kick on the ball.
