Seating: 1849, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Kingston Kubheka made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the game, Mcambalala's Rob Sephiri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dean Nhlapo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 11thth minute of the game Henry Mkhize who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Kenmore's Dean Nhlapo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Charles Patel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kingston Kubheka, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Kingston Kubheka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steve Josephs kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. With a little luck, Mcambalala's Charles Patel got control of the ball when Kingston Kubheka tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Rob Sephiri put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Dean Nhlapo. Dean Nhlapo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Mkhize in the 31st minute of play. Boyisana Okpara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Patel having to interfere. Charles Patel didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 34th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Charles Patel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boyisana Okpara in the 37th minute of the match. In the 37th match minute, Mcambalala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathibela Mbule to maneuver through the defense. If Boyisana Okpara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Henry Mkhize fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Nhlapo having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Henry Mkhize was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to FC Kenmore getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Daniel Smith hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Mcambalala's goal looked a bit too open when Boyisana Okpara came free, but Charles Patel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, FC Kenmore's Takalani Fortuin seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Takalani Fortuin the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Kenmore protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Takalani Fortuin had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 61 minutes into the game, one of FC Kenmore:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Mcambalala. Freddie Sephadi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dean Nhlapo. 1-3. In the 66th minute, one of FC Kenmore:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Kenmore. FC Kenmore:s Dean Nhlapo showed great skill when he stopped Freddie Sephadi:s penalty. In the 69th minute of the match Mcambalala got a corner. FC Kenmore's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Freddie Sephadi ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Henry Mkhize had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Boyisana Okpara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Patrice Mkhonza fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Kenmore's protests and gave Patrice Mkhonza a yellow card for diving instead. Patrice Mkhonza kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Boyisana Okpara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 100th minute, Henry Mkhize reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dean Nhlapo. The goal made the score 1-4. The FC Kenmore supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mcambalala's performance. The match ended with a win for Mcambalala.
