Silas Mhlongo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shakeel Bandura in the 14th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Timothy Madiya put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Silas Mhlongo. Silas Mhlongo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timothy Madiya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lorraine's Silas Mhlongo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Lorraine from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shakeel Bandura got free with Silas Mhlongo in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Blue Birds FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
