Spectators: 6874 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1874, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gary Modipa started the match with the kick off. Vuyo Bandura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernard Bandura went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 6 played minutes Edulawa got a freekick which was hit by Jabu Vanker. Michael Radebe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vuyo Bandura. Edulawa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Albert Mkhize showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gary Modipa, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Gary Modipa spun around in front of the goal 12 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Thwalikhulu's goal. A collision led to Thwalikhulu getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Hassan Mkhize hit a great ball. Albert Mkhize didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gary Modipa went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Vuyo Bandura made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernard Bandura in the 30th minute. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Rafael Qabi took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Vuyo Bandura to make any attempt to save it. Gary Modipa took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Albert Mkhize. Albert Mkhize dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Gary Modipa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Mkhize having to interfere. Anton Komani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anton Komani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafael Qabi to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Qabi in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vuyo Bandura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gary Modipa might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Albert Mkhize. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gary Modipa ran back to his position shaking his head. Gary Modipa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gary Modipa in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albert Mkhize saved Thwalikhulu from getting behind. Anton Komani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anton Komani's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Albert Mkhize skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thwalikhulu's Albert Mkhize played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gary Modipa in the 75th minute of play. If Gary Modipa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute Gary Modipa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Mkhize saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Edulawa's zone, Rafael Qabi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vuyo Bandura came out of the goal and Rafael Qabi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Albert Mkhize made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gary Modipa in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Rafael Qabi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 92 minutes into the game, one of Edulawa:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the referee blew the final whistle, Thwalikhulu could leave the field as winners, despite Edulawa having more of the ball for most of the match.
