Spectators: 6846 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1846, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elias Liau started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, FC Manxelene's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Liau came free, but Hlamane Mufumadi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Papi Radebe hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. 8 minutes into the match, FC Manxelene's Nazeer Fortuin broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 11th minute, Bernard Konza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bradley Nauseb was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 15 minutes, Yacoob Kubheka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Manxelene's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yacoob Kubheka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hlamane Mufumadi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Liau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd match minute, FC Manxelene was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yacoob Kubheka to maneuver through the defense. FC Marmabeni's Alex Takalani got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the FC Manxelene defense, Alex Takalani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hlamane Mufumadi. The FC Manxelene fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hlamane Mufumadi should have stopped the shot. Bernard Konza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradley Nauseb having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Mpho Madiya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Manxelene's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mpho Madiya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 44 played minutes FC Manxelene got a freekick which was hit by Nazeer Fortuin. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 51st minute, Alex Takalani made a precise shot to the right of Hlamane Mufumadi. FC Manxelene's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Alex Takalani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the game, one of FC Manxelene:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Papi Radebe shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 65 minutes into the match, FC Marmabeni's Elias Liau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hlamane Mufumadi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bernard Konza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradley Nauseb having to interfere. After 77 minutes of play, FC Marmabeni's Elias Liau made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hlamane Mufumadi was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Elias Liau managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Marmabeni's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Liau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hlamane Mufumadi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernard Konza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradley Nauseb having to interfere. Bradley Nauseb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mpho Madiya in the 85th minute of the match. If Mpho Madiya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mpho Madiya recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Takalani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Hlamane Mufumadi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 97th minute Sizwe Makweni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hlamane Mufumadi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
