Spectators: 6851 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1851, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the game, FC Manxelene's Bernard Konza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albert Mkhize made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. FC Manxelene's Hlamane Mufumadi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Qabi in the 6th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernard Bandura in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hlamane Mufumadi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th minute, Etienne Dube hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernard Bandura's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hlamane Mufumadi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Manxelene's Etienne Dube got a free kick in the 26th minute. Mpho Madiya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Albert Mkhize tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 played minutes FC Manxelene got a freekick which was hit by Yacoob Kubheka. Bernard Bandura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hlamane Mufumadi having to interfere. After 47 played minutes FC Manxelene got a freekick which was hit by Nazeer Edwards. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Thwalikhulu booed when FC Manxelene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. James Mhlongo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yacoob Kubheka charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yacoob Kubheka the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th minute, Yacoob Kubheka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hlamane Mufumadi acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 54th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Michael Radebe. Albert Mkhize stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mpho Madiya's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. FC Manxelene's Hlamane Mufumadi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Qabi in the 59th minute of play. Rafael Qabi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hlamane Mufumadi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Qabi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hassan Mkhize sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to FC Manxelene getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Yacoob Kubheka hit a great ball. In the 85th minute Rafael Qabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hlamane Mufumadi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Manxelene's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
