Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tyrell Okpara made the kick off which started today's match. Gary Mangope might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Freddie Sibeko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gary Mangope ran back to his position shaking his head. Akil Manyethela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th minute Tyrell Okpara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bradley Laher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Randburg's Tyrell Okpara got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tyrell Okpara took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bradley Laher. Bradley Laher dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Magagane in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bradley Laher saved Mjanyama from getting behind. Bradley Laher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Magagane in the 27th minute of play. If Akil Manyethela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 33 minutes, Akil Manyethela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mjanyama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Akil Manyethela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomas Magagane's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bradley Laher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Bradley Laher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Magagane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, Mjanyama's goal looked a bit too open when Tyrell Okpara came free, but Bradley Laher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomas Magagane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After the first half FC Randburg were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Tyrell Okpara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC Randburg booed when Mjanyama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Ngake didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Magagane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Bradley Laher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Elias Koen had to leave the field with a concussion. The supporters of Mjanyama booed when FC Randburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Magagane didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Magagane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradley Laher having to interfere. Tomas Magagane struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Bradley Laher didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Randburg. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Mjanyama:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Randburg:s goal. Bradley Laher had in the 77thth minute some difficulties stopping Michael Stoltz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Bradley Laher made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Tomas Magagane sent off a good shot on target. Bradley Laher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyrell Okpara, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Bradley Laher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mpenza Thokozani in the 85th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Magagane got free with Bradley Laher in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tyrell Okpara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bradley Laher having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyrell Okpara in the 92nd minute of play forced Mjanyama's goalkeeper Bradley Laher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the match, FC Randburg's Tomas Magagane sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bradley Laher narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Randburg played a much better game than Mjanyama and deserved their victory. The Mjanyama players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
