The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lindo Radebe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Andre Collins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Hoadley Arendse made a huge save. If Maxwell Mabalane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lindo Radebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Mayoyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Monsterlus's Tomas Kerns got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andre Collins struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Hoadley Arendse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Monsterlus. In the 25th match minute, FC Maqwatini was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thabo Thokozani to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Kerns in the 27th minute of play forced FC Maqwatini's goalkeeper Hoadley Arendse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, FC Maqwatini's goalkeeper Hoadley Arendse had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andre Collins. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mawetu Mufadi during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th minute of the match Patrice Stoltz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lindo Radebe skillfully saved the ball. After the first half FC Maqwatini were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maxwell Mabalane to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, Tomas Mayoyo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lindo Radebe was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andre Collins in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hoadley Arendse saved FC Maqwatini from getting behind. In the 59th minute, Tomas Kerns got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, FC Monsterlus's Tomas Kerns sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hoadley Arendse narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 66 played minutes FC Maqwatini got a freekick which was hit by Mawetu Mufadi. Hoadley Arendse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andre Collins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thabo Thokozani kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Hoadley Arendse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andre Collins in the 69th minute of play. Sizwe Pretorius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 73 minutes into the match, Tomas Kerns notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FC Maqwatini's Hoadley Arendse. Hoadley Arendse was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 83rd minute, Thabo Thokozani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Monsterlus were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after FC Maqwatini's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Patrick Patel took the corner. Patrick Patel made a great header on FC Monsterlus's corner, it was just that FC Maqwatini's Hoadley Arendse managed to reach the ball for a save. Patrice Stoltz hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. When Maxwell Mabalane came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the FC Maqwatini fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maxwell Mabalane couldn't finish the play. After having played for 96 minutes, Andre Collins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Monsterlus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andre Collins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
