Henry Nhlapo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th match minute, Zwartberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Nhlapo to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Alex Kolwa managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when FC Gabheni's Ricky Kolwa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alex Kolwa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dean Mncube, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Ricky Kolwa came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the FC Gabheni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricky Kolwa couldn't finish the play. Dean Mncube received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alex Kolwa came out and tried to block the shot, but Dean Mncube slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 38th minute. If Boyisani Miti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Boyisana Maduna made the kick off in the second half. Patrick Mafuna kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Boyisana Maduna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johann Fortuin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute Dean Mncube shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Kolwa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zwartberg's goalkeeper Alex Kolwa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Gabheni had won after a very even match.
