After a defensive mix-up in Siphahleni's zone, Fuzile Tembe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sanjay Smith came out of the goal and Fuzile Tembe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kingston Mathibe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sanjay Smith having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Siphahleni's Steve Mufadi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Charles Pretorius. That made the score 1-0 after 18 minutes of play. With a little luck, FC Sebensa's Charles Pretorius got control of the ball when Papi Collins tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steve Mufadi in the 43rd minute of play forced FC Sebensa's goalkeeper Charles Pretorius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Madolo Ntsume fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Sebensa's protests and gave Madolo Ntsume a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 minutes FC Sebensa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Thomas Sephadi who took care of the corner kick. After 47 played minutes Siphahleni got a freekick which was hit by Mpho Modise. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fuzile Tembe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Papi Collins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Siphahleni's Papi Collins got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Papi Collins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charles Pretorius was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Papi Collins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Charles Pretorius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tebogo Mufadi was shown his second yellow card after 72 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 73 played minutes FC Sebensa got a freekick which was hit by Tebogo Mufadi. After a rather tough play, FC Sebensa's Madolo Ntsume got a free kick in the 76th minute. Madolo Ntsume hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. When Papi Collins came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Siphahleni fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Papi Collins couldn't finish the play. In the 87th minute, Fuzile Tembe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Steve Mufadi struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Charles Pretorius didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Siphahleni. Siphahleni were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Sebensa for a fine match.
