After 11 played minutes, Maraheki's Darren Mabele shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Patrice Tshabalala came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Maraheki reached it. 14 minutes into the game, Thami Klein was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maraheki's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave tk15 the free kick. In the 17th minute Nick Tau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrice Tshabalala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phillip Sono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Patrice Tshabalala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Themba Shoba hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Alpheus Mafuna hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Maraheki's Darren Mabele broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Alex Shoba fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored tk15's protests and gave Alex Shoba a yellow card for diving instead. In the 31st minute, Alex Shoba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Phillip Sono managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maraheki's supporters rose to their feet, but Phillip Sono was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrice Tshabalala breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Phillip Sono charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phillip Sono the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Phillip Sono kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex Shoba to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Nick Tau fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Phillip Sono received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. After having played for 91 minutes, Nick Tau managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maraheki's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nick Tau was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Maraheki's Phillip Sono in the 93rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Patrice Tshabalala was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for tk15 through an amazing save. Darren Mabele made a great header on Maraheki's corner, it was just that tk15's Patrice Tshabalala managed to reach the ball for a save. Maraheki's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
