After 13 minutes of play, Matshira's Harry Qabi made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michael Ntsume was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 15th minute, Matshira's Harry Qabi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Lucky Edwards struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Michael Ntsume didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matshira. In the 31st minute, Lucky Edwards got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kingston Kubheka made a kick off. If Harry Qabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 54 minutes, Aubrey Madima mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Ntlabeni and the Matshira players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Matshira booed when FC Ntlabeni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aubrey Madima didn't get a good kick on the ball.
