When Nick Kanku came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the FC May fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nick Kanku couldn't finish the play. 21 minutes into the game, Jikolo Takane cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Vuyo Wanani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Delron Sephadi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lazarus Mufumadi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, FC May's Shumani King threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lazarus Mufumadi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
